Other studies show just how unique each fruit can be. A review in Food & Function reported that blueberries boost Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, kiwis increase Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, and prunes improve both stool weight and microbial balance (Bach et al., 2021, Food & Function).
