I never planned to start a brand. I was simply trying to reconnect with myself.
I had years of experience helping others heal, yet I still missed my own signals. I slipped back into the same coping patterns I guided clients through. I overworked, skipped meals, and shut down whenever life felt like too much. I told myself I was living in alignment, but underneath it all, I was drained and ignoring my own body.
My wake up call came within the first week of starting a new job. I wanted to do well and did not want to seem unreliable. Seemingly out of nowhere, my arm started bothering me and the pain would not let up. Then the swelling began. I kept pushing through it, telling myself it was nothing, until the pain became too much to ignore. Friends urged me to go to the ER, and I finally went. I was diagnosed with a DVT that ran from my neck to my shoulder. The days in the hospital made it impossible to ignore how far I had drifted from myself.
When I went home, I started over, making small and intentional changes. I slowed down and I listened. I treated daily life as something to move through with attention instead of urgency. Over time, I felt steadier and more connected to my mind, body, and spirit.
Mojaday grew from that shift. It began as a personal reminder to live with care and awareness. Today, it’s a collective space that helps others do the same. Through our practices, teachings, and products, we support people in creating balance that feels both real and lasting.
