You’re Always Manifesting—Here’s How to Make It Work for You

How to Manifest Anything Using the Law of Assumption and the Law of Attraction4

If you’ve tried manifesting the life you desire but, after years of effort, self-help books, therapy sessions, and prayer, the life you want still only exists in your mind, that ends today. These words are for the ones who feel stuck, the ones who deep down know they’re not meant for an ordinary life. You are here because you know you are meant for more. By the end of this blog, you’ll have tools to finally stop your manifestations from falling short, and start calling in the life you actually deserve.

The Wisdom of Abdullah the Mystic

First, I want to take you back to the time of Abdullah the mystic. If you’ve ever heard of Neville Goddard or Joseph Murphy, then you should know where they got their wisdom. Abdullah was their teacher. A Black Ethiopian mystic who lived in the early 20th century, Abdullah was bold, powerful, and deeply rooted in spiritual truth. He mentored some of the greatest metaphysical thinkers of our time, and his legacy still lives in the way we talk about manifestation today.

The Law of Assumption

One of the most powerful teachings that came from Abdullah through Neville Goddard is the Law of Assumption. This law is simple but not always easy: what you assume to be true, and persist in assuming, will harden into fact. In other words, it’s not about hoping or wishing. It’s about embodying the version of you who already has what you want.

Neville told a story about how he manifested a trip to Barbados. He had no money, no ticket, and no way of knowing how it would happen. But every night, he imagined himself walking the streets of Barbados, breathing in the ocean air, hearing the familiar sounds of home. And not long after, a series of events lined up that made it possible. That’s the power of living in the end.

You can learn more about this approach in “The Power of Awareness,” one of Neville’s best-known works. You can also follow along with the meditation below before bed.

The Law of Attraction

Now let’s talk about the Law of Attraction. You’ve probably heard about this one through The Secret or Abraham Hicks. This law is all about magnetism. Like attracts like. Your dominant thoughts and emotions act like a signal to the Universe. When you’re tuned into the energy of love, abundance, and joy, you start attracting more of that.

This concept has roots way deeper than modern self-help. Ancient traditions across the world have always taught that thought and energy shape reality. Abraham Hicks expands on this by teaching that we must act as if our desire is already ours—by thinking, speaking, and feeling from the place of already having it.

You can explore more at Abraham Hicks’ official site.

Why These Laws Don’t Always Work

Let’s be real for a second. If it were as easy as “think happy thoughts and it’ll show up,” we’d all be living dream lives by now. So why don’t these laws always work?

  1. You’re doubting more than you’re believing. If you spend five minutes visualizing but the rest of your day worrying, you’re watering two different seeds. And guess which one’s getting more sunlight?
  2. Your current reality feels too far away from your desire. This is a big one. If your life looks nothing like what you’re trying to manifest, it’s hard to believe it’s possible. Your subconscious might be fighting you on it.
  3. You’re not emotionally connected to the vision. The Universe doesn’t just respond to words. It responds to feeling. If you’re just going through the motions, your energy won’t hit.

The Missing Manifestation Link

This is where things changed for me. I’ve been a fan of Abiola Abrams for years. Her energy, her wisdom, her magic—it always spoke to me. But it wasn’t until I came across her book “From Imagination to Reality” that things finally clicked. She calls the fusion of both the Law of Assumption and the Law of Attraction The Law of Life—and that phrase alone gave me chills.

After reading it, I started manifesting on a whole different level. And let me clear something up: we’re always manifesting. Every thought, every reaction, every feeling is shaping your reality. But what I’m talking about here is conscious manifestation. The kind you do on purpose.

What Conscious Manifestation Really Means

Conscious manifestation means you’re not leaving your life to default settings. You’re choosing your thoughts. You’re choosing your feelings. You’re becoming the version of you who already has the thing.

So how do you use this in a real, grounded way?

How to Use the Law of Life

Neville stresses falling asleep in the state of your wish fulfilled. You can listen to my meditation tonight to help guide you through this practice. What this does is impress your desire onto the subconscious mind when it’s most open—right before sleep, when your brain is in the theta state. This is the same brainwave state we’re mostly in as children (under age 7), which is why kids learn so fast and imagine so vividly.

When you visualize your desire in detail—what it looks like, how it feels, what you hear and smell—and pair it with emotion, you create an imprint. And your subconscious begins to treat it like truth. That’s when your Reticular Activating System (RAS) kicks in. The RAS filters information and helps you notice what’s important to you.

Ever research a car and then suddenly see it everywhere? That’s your RAS in action. It’s like a cosmic algorithm, flagging opportunities and signs that were always there—but now, you’re aware of them. The same thing happens when you deeply embody your desire. You start to notice pathways that support it. People, ideas, timing—it all starts to align.

How to Live As If It’s Already Yours

This is where Law of Attraction comes in. Live it out. If you want to be an author, start acting like one. Write your bio. Take your headshots. Sign your name like you’re autographing your book. Abiola shares this exact example in her book, and it stuck with me.

This doesn’t mean you walk around delusional. But let’s be honest—what’s really delusional? Living a life that drains you, or believing in a life that lights you up?

Final Thoughts

We’re not here to settle or manifest halfway.

We’re manifesting, whether we know it or not. The only question is—are we willing to explore ways of doing it more intentionally?
